About Julie

From the very beginning of her career, Julie has been curious about what helps teams work well together.

While working at the University of Victoria, she began designing employee wellness challenges that brought people together around shared goals. What started as an interest in employee wellbeing quickly evolved into a deeper question: what actually helps people collaborate, communicate, and thrive at work?

That curiosity led Julie to explore the connection between individual wellbeing, team dynamics, and organizational success.

After moving to the United States, Julie joined MGM Resorts International as a Health Coach, where she spent seven years helping employees achieve their personal health goals. Over time she moved into a senior management role overseeing employee wellness programs. During that experience she saw firsthand how the quality of team relationships and communication often determined whether individuals and organizations were able to perform at their best.

Along the way she was introduced to MindTime®, a powerful framework that explains how people naturally process information. Although she did not immediately apply it in her work, the insight stayed with her and eventually became the foundation of her consulting practice.

Today Julie combines her background in coaching, leadership development, and the MindTime framework to help organizations better understand how people think and how those differences shape communication, collaboration, and leadership.

Many workplace challenges are not caused by a lack of talent, effort, or good intentions. More often, they arise because people naturally think about problems, decisions, and information in different ways.

When these thinking differences are not understood, teams can experience frustration, miscommunication, and unnecessary friction.

But when people begin to understand how others process information, something powerful happens. Conversations become clearer. Collaboration becomes easier. Differences that once caused tension can become strengths.

Helping teams discover that shift is one of the most rewarding parts of Julie’s work.

Philosophy About Team Health

Healthy teams do not happen by accident. They are built through understanding, shared language, and leadership that supports open and thoughtful communication.

Julie believes that improving team dynamics begins with helping people understand how they think. When individuals recognize the different ways people process information, they can communicate more effectively, appreciate diverse perspectives, and work together more productively.

Her work focuses on helping teams make these often invisible dynamics visible so leaders and teams can navigate them with greater clarity and confidence.

  • Julie is the founder of Julie Sanders Consulting and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation.

  • Julie holds a business degree from Royal Roads University, is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and completed her Executive and Professional Coaching training at the University of Texas at Dallas. She brings years of experience in coaching, leadership development, and workplace wellbeing.

  • Julie is also a certified MindTime® facilitator and integrates this research-based framework into her work with organizations to help teams improve communication, strengthen collaboration, and build healthier team cultures.
